Bourgeois Heroes
Elise and Jason are Bourgeois Heroes.
The band began in the spring of 2002 on a roadtrip from New Haven to Memphis. Once they arrived in Tennessee, they purchased a drum kit and an electric guitar and set out to record their first ramshackle single the following evening at Sun Studio.
The duo, now in a long distance musical relationship, communicate musical ideas between Austin, Tex., and Northampton, Mass.
Bourgeois Heroes has four releases on Rub Wrongways: Fleur de Lys & Me, Olé/Hola, Musical Postcards, and Come Out and Play with Bourgeois Heroes.
