This is the eighth album from Gentle Hen. We recommend you give it three full focused listens in a row right from the start. Listen to it the way you used to listen to albums when you only had a few to choose from. It also goes great with driving, walking, flying, and eating. BUT NOTHING ELSE! credits releases September 25, 2026

The right songs for the wrong record. A collection of misfits. Songs that were born at the wrong time. Songs that didn’t fit in with their peers. Songs that sat back against the wall and quietly waited for their turn. Songs that were beautiful on the inside. Cinderellas. Songs that didn’t know the rules to whatever game the other songs were playing. Songs that said the wrong things at the wrong times. Songs that wore thrift shop clothes and dyed their hair and painted their sneakers. Songs that made the other songs defensive. Songs that, when they found each other, suddenly felt at home and thrived. Late bloomers. Simmering giants. The tortoise. These songs are the right songs for the wrong record.

Three of these songs were recorded during the sessions for the album Bells on the Boats on the Bay. Four were during the Whole Point of the Trip. One was specifically recorded for this release.
